Referrals
We accept referrals from Parents & Guardians, Schools, Multi-Agency Professionals, and Local Authorities.

Who We Support
Children and young people may be referred to Liberty in the Wild for a wide range of reasons, including:
- Needing support with reintegration or transition between educational settings
- Emotional regulation or wellbeing difficulties
- Awaiting an EHCP, CAMHS input or diagnostic assessment
- Showing reduced confidence, anxiety or low self-esteem
- Being on a reduced timetable or struggling to attend school
- Experiencing isolation, exclusion or disengagement
- Requiring small-group or relational learning approaches
- Moderate learning difficulties (MLD)
- Autism, ADHD, SEMH, BESD, attachment needs, trauma or ACEs
- Strong interest or passion in a particular subject or area of learning
- Benefiting from nature-based, creative or therapeutic approaches
We work with young people who require a nurturing, personalised environment to re-engage, rebuild confidence and progress at a pace that is right for them.
Student Voice Statement
Young people are supported to share their views about their learning, wellbeing and experience at Liberty in the Wild. Their feedback helps shape individual support plans and ongoing development of our provision.
Working With Commissioners and Schools
We work closely with commissioning schools and Local Authorities to ensure placements are safe, appropriate and outcomes focused.
We provide:
- Pre-placement information and suitability discussions
- Individual learning and support planning
- Regular placement review meetings
- Progress and outcome reporting
- Transition and next step planning
We welcome professional visits and quality assurance reviews.

🌿 What Happens After You Refer?
Once we receive your form:
Initial review – Our team checks suitability and requests further information if needed
Information gathering – We may request reports, EHCPs, attendance records or risk assessments
Visit / Meet the Young Person – To understand regulation needs, interests and group fit
Placement Plan – A personalised timetable and support plan is drafted
Start date – Transitions are planned carefully to support safety, confidence and wellbeing
We work collaboratively with referrers throughout the process.
